Description:

Buffers, stop buffers and special buffers are elastomer-metal components used for elastic equipment support, vibration damping and the control of impact loads in machinery, lifting systems and transport applications.

Standard buffers provide a robust and economical elastic connection for light and moderately heavy equipment without pronounced dynamic loading. Stop buffers act as final stops and absorb kinetic energy during impact. Special buffers provide vibration-damping support for larger and extra-heavy-duty machinery and equipment.

The components are manufactured in Germany in a wide range of sizes and technical configurations. Project-specific versions can be produced according to a technical drawing, an existing component, a physical sample or a customer specification.

Typical Application Areas:

Agriculture Equipment · City Transport · Construction · Industrial Equipment · Rail Transport · Rubber-metal parts

Buffers, Special buffers

Standard Buffers for Elastic Equipment Support

Standard buffers consist of metal connection elements permanently bonded by an elastomer section. They provide elastic support and help separate the installed equipment from the surrounding structure.

Their robust construction and wide range of mounting configurations make them suitable for light and moderately heavy equipment that is not exposed to pronounced dynamic loading.

Stop Buffers for Final-Stop Applications

Stop buffers are used at the end position of moving structures, including trams, cranes, machines and industrial installations.

Their elastomer body deforms under impact and absorbs a significant part of the effective kinetic energy. This reduces the force transferred into the supporting structure and helps prevent damage caused by excessive impact, vibration and rebound.

Special Buffers for Heavy-Duty Equipment

Special buffers are designed for the elastic support and vibration damping of larger and extra-heavy-duty machinery and equipment.

Typical applications include rollers, ramming equipment, stampers, vibration generators, drilling equipment and other machinery exposed to significant operating forces.

Depending on the individual design, special buffers can be configured and evaluated for compressive, shear or combined loading.

Key Technical Benefits

  • elastic support of machinery and equipment;
  • absorption of impact energy in final-stop applications;
  • reduction of vibration and rebound;
  • protection of machinery and supporting structures;
  • suitability for light, medium and heavy-duty applications;
  • different mounting and connection configurations;
  • operation under compression and, depending on the design, shear loading;
  • application-specific elastomer and load-deflection characteristics.

Applications in Machinery and Transport Systems

Standard buffers are used for the elastic support of machinery, aggregates and mechanical assemblies without pronounced dynamic loading.

Stop buffers are suitable for final-stop arrangements in trams, cranes and industrial installations where moving structures must be decelerated and protected at the end of their permitted travel.

Special buffers are used for vibration damping and elastic support in heavy machinery, construction equipment and industrial installations exposed to high operating loads.

Project-Specific Manufacturing

Buffers are available in different structural and mounting configurations, including versions with external threads, internal threads, mounting plates and application-specific metal components.

Custom versions can be manufactured according to an existing technical drawing, original component, physical sample or defined customer specification. Each application is technically reviewed and calculated individually before production.

German Production and Quality Control

Buffers, stop buffers and special buffers are manufactured in Germany under quality management systems certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 22163.

The verification process is adapted to the respective product type. It may include dimensional inspection and evaluation of compression, shear, load-deflection or impact-related characteristics according to the agreed application requirements.

The finished products are supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate.
