Progressive Suspension Performance
Conical springs combine load-bearing capacity, elastic movement and vibration isolation within a compact rubber-metal component. They are primarily used to absorb vertical loads and dynamic forces between the axle assembly and bogie structure.
Depending on the design, the spring can also provide different stiffness characteristics in the vertical, lateral and longitudinal directions. This allows the suspension behaviour to be adapted to the movement and guidance requirements of the vehicle.

Applications in Rail Vehicle Suspension
Primary conical springs are used in bogie suspension systems for trams, metro vehicles, regional trains and other rail vehicles requiring compact and durable primary suspension components.
They can be supplied for scheduled maintenance, bogie overhaul, fleet refurbishment, vehicle modernisation and new rolling stock projects. Replacement components can also be produced where the original part is discontinued or no longer commercially available.
Project-Specific Manufacturing
The geometry, elastomer compound and internal metal components are configured according to the required suspension function and installation conditions.
Custom production is possible based on an existing drawing, original part, physical sample or defined customer specification. Each project is individually reviewed and calculated before production.
German Production and Quality Control
Primary conical springs are manufactured in Germany under quality management systems certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 22163.
Product-specific verification focuses on dimensional conformity and the agreed load-deflection and directional stiffness characteristics. Where required by the project, service-life calculations and dynamic testing are used to validate performance under cyclic loading.
The finished products are supplied with an EN 10204 3.1 inspection certificate.
